Catalytic Carbon Cartridge
The Catalytic Carbon Cartridge has been designed for the ever-changing way our water is delivered to our homes. Chlorine has been a large part of the way our water supplier keeps our water sanitised, but Chlorine dissipates and is sometimes not always still active when it arrives at its final destination. To stabilise the chlorine, ammonia is added, and is now described as Chloramine. This highly efficient cartridge is designed to take out the Chloramine and hydrogen sulphide from your water.
This Catalytic Carbon Cartridge is high activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation of select coconut shell charcoal. The catalytic activity of this activated carbon makes it highly effective for the removal of chloramines and hydrogen sulphide from municipal water supplies. Its large micropore volume makes it particularly well suited for the removal of low molecular weight organic compounds and their chlorinated by-products such as chloroform and other trihalomethanes (THMs). An important feature of this material is its superior mechanical hardness and the extensive dedusting during its manufacture ensures an exceptionally clean activated carbon product.
