4 stage filtration
The P500 is a strikingly good-looking machine that does what is says on the tin. At work or at home the purification of this machine is second to none.
The P500 comes with a pre-filter to remove large particles, including pollen and larger dust particles, a true HEPA filter to remove dust particle down to 0.3 of a micron, an Allergy Filter for the removal of Allegens, and a granulated carbon filter to remove odours, smoke and harmful chemicals like VOCs and formaldehyde. A useful change filter indicator will let you know when it is time to replace the filters.
Fully automatic mode with an air quality sensor
When in automatic mode the air quality sensor will inform the unit that it requires the unit to clean the air faster and so the motor kicks in and deals with the problem quickly and efficiently. After turning on the unit for the first time it will run at the lowest fan level for a few minutes whilst it assesses the environment. The visual air quality indicator allows you to see at a glance the current level of airborne impurities, including dust, pollen, tobacco and gases. It is possible to manually control the fan level if that function is selected.
Easy to operate and remote controlled
If you require the unit to run automatically, to change to energy saving sleep mode, to turn on the turbo air purification or to set a timer. This can all be done by using the remote control from the comfort of your armchair.
Room size up to 29 sq m at 3 air changes per hour
Changing the air in a 29 sq m room three times an hour is sufficient to deal with most contaminants if the room is smaller the air changes will increase
Cleaning and maintenance
Please ensure that you follow the advice in the manual, including how to replace the filter and cleaning the pre-filter.
True HEPA Filtration
What True HEPA is
HEPA is short for for “High Efficiency Particulate Air” or “High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance.” True HEPA refers to a filter that is manufactured, tested, certified, and labelled in accordance with current True HEPA filter standards. The True HEPA filter must capture 99.97% of the particles down to 0.3-micron particles in the air passing through it.
Efficiency is typically greater than 99.97% against larger or smaller particle sizes. Particles larger than 0.3 microns are more easily trapped, or intercepted, by the media. Smaller particles often lack sufficient mass to penetrate the media.
To meet the minimum requirements of a True HEPA filter, the filter must be tested and certified to prove that it will remove at least 99.97% (9,997 out of 10,000) of particles 0.3-micron in diameter from the air passing through the filter. Particles of that size are about 300 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair, and 25 to 50 times smaller than we can see. Manufacturing a filter with HEPA filter media does not mean that the filter itself meets True HEPA efficiency requirements.
What True HEPA removes
With filtration down to 0.3 microns and 99.97% efficiency the True HEPA filter will remove most dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, mites, cigarette smoke and even particles as small as bacteria and some viruses.
Activated Carbon Filtration
What is Activated Carbon?
Activated carbon, also called activated charcoal, carbo activatus or an “AC filter”, is a form of carbon processed to have small, low-volume pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. Due to its high degree of microporosity, just one gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 500 m2.
What Activated Carbon filters remove
Because of its super porous texture active carbon is able to attract, adsorb and neutralise smaller particles like organic gases, odours and some chemical compounds. These particles are too small to be trapped by other types of air purifier filters.
Activated carbon is a form of carbon that has been treated to make it extremely porous giving it a very large surface area available for the adsorption of chemical compounds. Activated carbon primarily adsorbs organic chemicals along with some larger molecular weight inorganic compounds. One gram of activated carbon has a surface area about one tenth the size of a football field.
If you would like to remove smells, gases or some chemicals from the air in your home an activated carbon filter is a very effective part of an efficient air purifier.
Filter Replacement Service
Whether you purchase air purifiers, dehumidifiers or water filters, or any of their replacement parts we offer you peace of mind. We will add your name to our reminder service. In accordance with the manufacturers’ guidelines we will send you a gentle reminder that your unit may need replacement parts. Maintaining its efficiency will continue providing you a healthier environment.
We will be able to supply you with your required replacements. We maintain stock levels of filters and cartridges even after a manufacturer may bring the original unit to an end. This means our customers can rest assured of our commitment to servicing their requirements long into the future.
If you do not wish to be included in our service then we can simply unsubscribe you. Similarly, if you have not purchased the units or replacements from us before you may ask to be included in our service for future use.
With best wishes
