Over the last few years, coconuts have rocketed in popularity due to their numerous health and beauty benefits. While the coconut milk, flesh, oil and husk are used for a variety of purposes, 98% of coconut shells are disposed of as waste. This means that millions of discarded shells are burnt each year, releasing harmful CO2 and methane into the atmosphere.
Taking a zero waste approach, these beautiful coconut bowls are made from reclaimed coconut shells, sourced from Vietnam. They’ve been sanded, beautifully carved and finished with vegan-friendly coconut oil. A product of nature, each bowl has a unique shape and pattern, but they are typically around 13-14cm in diameter and 6cm in height.
Choose from three designs:
- Plain (darker, polished outer with an engraved Battle Green logo on the side)
- Banded (with a darker polished band around the top of the bowl and an engraved Battle Green logo on the base)
- Carved (with a pretty wavy line design around the bowl, and an engraved Battle Green logo on the base)
- Each bowl also comes with smooth wooden Buddha spoon – made from waste ebony wood offcuts from furniture making – so you can get stuck into those smoothie bowls straight away!
Care instructions: The bowls are also suitable for warm and cold snacks and meals. Treated with care, these bowls will last for years. Hand wash and leave to air dry. Do not leave to soak for prolonged periods. Not suitable for microwaves or dishwashers. If needed down the line, you can rub a little coconut oil into your bowl to top up the ‘polished’ outer of your bowl.
