Clean filtered water on tap throughout your home
This large double whole house water filter is ideal for dual filtration whether using a pre-filter to prolong the life of your main cartridge or to add to the removal of the contaminants in the water. If your circumstances change then you can substitute any of the filters to suit your individual needs. If your water pressure is high and usage is low then the Small Double Unit should meet your requirements. Should you require 3 of the following filters then opt for either the Small Triple Unit for high pressure or low usage or the Large Triple unit for low pressure or high usage.

For extra filtering of bacteria, viruses, fluoride, and heavy metals from your drinking water we recommend a drinking water filter.
We recommend that the filters are changed every 6-12 months. It can be difficult to assume that your filter will last 6 or 12 months as usage and quality of water can suggest different things. We ask our customers to rely on what they see, smell or feel to determine when the filter should be changed.
The unit includes 15mm and 20mm Brass Fittings, Brass Joint for connecting the two units, an Installation Manual and two filters of your choice.
Please Note: Colour of units may vary depending on availability.
Overall dimensions 730 x 390 x 210mm plus consideration for necessary pipework installation.

Changing the filter
We recommend replacing the filters which should last up to 6 months or when they reach their filtration capacity, whichever is sooner.
The replacement filter is intended for cold tap water only.
After the filter is replaced, discard at least 10 litres of filtered water.
Ecosoft (GAC) Granulated Activated Carbon Filter
The high quality Ecosoft Granulated Activated Coconut Shell Carbon Filter reduces the content of organic matter, chlorine and chlorination by-products.
Chlorine reacts chemically with any organic matter found in the water. By-products of this reaction include trihalomethanes (THMs) such as chloroform.
This highly efficient filter can reduce chlorine in up to 30,000litres and is suitable for most standard 4.5” x 10 Housings.
Replace every 3 – 6 months
(GAC) Granulated Activated Carbon Cartridge
Provides clean drinking, cooking and bathing water.
The Granulated Activated Carbon used in our Cartridges reduce Chlorine and organic contaminants. Improves colour, taste and odour.
For use only with municipal water supply.
Replacing the filters
We recommend replacing the filters ever 6-12 months or when they reach their filtration capacity, whichever is sooner. Take a look at our Filter Replacement Service tab for peace of mind.
Catalytic Carbon Cartridge
This Catalytic Carbon Cartridge is high activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation of select coconut shell charcoal. The catalytic activity of this activated carbon makes it highly effective for the removal of chloramines and hydrogen sulfide from municipal water supplies. Its large micropore volume makes it particularly well suited for the removal of low molecular weight organic compounds and their chlorinated by-products such as chloroform and other trihalomethanes (THMs). An important feature of this material is its superior mechanical hardness and the extensive dedusting during its manufacture ensures an exceptionally clean activated carbon product.
For use with Residential water treatment systems

Fluoride Reduction Cartridge
Reduces natural and added synthetic fluoride
This filter reduces natural and added synthetic fluorides from your water down to 0.5 ppm. This filter uses activated alumina that has been especially prepared for the reduction of fluorides
Performance of this filter will be degraded by flow rates in excess of 0.25 gpm, high pH or high bicarbonate supply water. If the supply water tests above 100 ppm of bicarbonate, the fluoride reduction will be degraded to less than 50% ; If the supply is over 200 ppm, the reduction efficiency is less than 75% of normal.
The filtration of this filter has also been shown to reduce arsenic to less than 0.02 ppm from 0.12 ppm in the supply water. Can also reduce soluble iron in water by absorbing it into the media.
This fluoride filter can also acts as a pre filter removing larger particles from your water to prolong the life of the additional filters.
FAQs
Where would I put it and how much room do I need to fit it?
The unit should be located as near to the water feed into the property as possible. On top of the dimensions stated above you must allow at least another 10cm of space below for changing the filters.
Do I need a separate drinking water system or can I drink the water from the whole house system?
The Wholehouse Unit does improve the quality of the water by taking out the more common contaminants. It is removing contaminants from your entire household demand and consequently high water flow. The whole house system is made to remove the most common contaminants from a high flow of water. To remove bacteria, cysts and trace organics, we recommend the addition of a drinking water system.
Who would install the unit?
Full instructions are supplied with the unit and can be installed by someone with good DIY skills. Alternatively a local plumber should have no problem installing this unit.
Is there a water pressure drop when using a Wholehouse Unit and if so, what is it likely to be?
There can be a 5% – 10% drop in pressure depending on which cartridges you have. If you have a megaflow system or already have low pressure a flexible fitting kit can be used. If your flow rate exceeds 5.33 bar (80psi) a pressure regulator must be fitted to reduce the pressure to 70psi.
How often should I change my filters?
The pre-filter should be changed every 6 months. The carbon blocks should be changed every 6, 9, or 12 months depending on how many persons in the household. Take a look at the Filter Replacement Service tab for peace of mind. Should you require replacements earlier please let us know and we will update our records.
Does the whole house unit take out oestrogens?
Activated carbon will remove organic compounds like oestrogen. The main cartridge in the wholehouse units is made of activated carbon.
General Information
Once you have removed the old filters, we recommend running chlorinated water through your whole house filter system for 5-10 minutes before installing the replacement filter.
Bore Holes – If you have a bore hole please contact us for both wholehouse filtration and drinking water system advice.
The pressure requirement for town pressure is 3 bar.
